Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the operations and strategic management of the sourcing team for Motion Drive Products in New Berlin, Wisconsin. You will be responsible for contract development and supply base relationship management, while partnering closely with Global and Local Procurement & Logistics teams.

This position reports to:
Director, Production Unit

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage processes to support strategic sourcing and business strategy for current and future vision
  • Develop and engage people within the Strategic Sourcing team
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategy for direct and indirect materials, in line with global and local initiatives to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements
  • Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business and our customers
  • Anticipate business issues and develops solutions and delivers on priorities
  • Leverage metrics for sourcing processes and identifies new areas of opportunity to deliver or exceed targets including cost, quality and delivery
  • Collaborate with Global Sourcing team on current and future initiatives to drive improvement and alignment
  • Responsible for risk management and ensures all compliance and quality standards are met

Your Background

  • Bachelor degree and 12 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with experience in supply chain and leading people or Master degree and 10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with experience in supply chain and leading people required
  • Knowledge or experience with North American Electronic Manufacturing Services highly preferred
  • Ownership of direct and indirect categories, proven success of strategically working with supplies and sourcing in low-cost regions
  • Experience working with multiple locations globally
  • Proven success in change management and “stretch” environment
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
