What you’ll be doing…
You will implement strategies to improve service quality, product quality, employee efficiency, and interdepartmental communication. You will be working at the Reverse Supply Chain Finished Goods Operation SAP SME as it relates to the development of reporting and system enhancements, creating distribution paths and establishing channels for ongoing feedback and improvement.
You will also be responsible for monitoring operational and financial data, identifying high variances or exposure areas, explaining actual variances to plan, or trend, producing regular readouts to senior leadership. Based on the data you will proactively design, implement, and execute the required systemic and operational changes to address negative trends and exposure areas.
- Developing strategies and processes to measure and ensure the security of the inventory on-site at the 3PL’s.Ensure the adequate controls are in place to minimize shrink at the distribution centers.
- Oversee cycle counts audits with internal and external audit teams.
- Developing and implementing corrective action plans, with DC & internal/external audit teams. Develop processes to ensure accuracy of the Verizon Inventory System (SAP) to the 3PL’s warehouse management system and physical inventory on the floor.
- Managing inbound discrepancies with original equipment manufacturing vendors, alternative repair networks, direct from consumers, and sales channels and establish new processes to reduce the number and hold them accountable to SLA’s.
- Researching emerging issues that are customer impacting or business impacting.
- Identifying prompt resolution to these issues with root cause analysis, corrective actions across impacted systems or processes.
- Reviewing current processes and provide solutions to enhance and optimize all processes under their scope to drive towards time and spend reductions for the operations at Lonestar (Ft. Worth) and Crossroads (Indy).
- Identifying opportunity for and lead IT infrastructure implementation and development.
- Supporting Reverse Inventory Planning team in the inventory balancing and reconciliations.
- Partnering with multiple VZW OEM’s to establish inbound delivery schedules of repaired and seed stock inventory.
- Ensuring transit time metrics are maintained, carrier performance is being evaluated, and constrained product is expedited.
- Managing receiving at the DC’s to ensure that priority receipts are properly expedited and that all service level agreements for receiving are met. Partner with DC and OEMs to ensure compliance with VZW receiving & shipping processes.
- Evaluating, designing, and improving the efficiency of the inbound receiving processes at all DC’s. Ensure that all DC’s are following the same best practices.
- Managing and monitoring outbound/inbound pallets trends. Identify changes and adjust plan to support growth and seamless execution.
- Compliance, Audit Controls & Oversight: partner with Audit teams in support of CPI efforts, ensure the DC’s and FSL’s are compliant with all inbound receiving and QA testing, oversee audit compliance, cycle counts, segregation of duties and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reporting.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related work field
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- MBA or Master’s degree in related field.
- Logistics experience. Ideally, transportation, purchasing, or inventory management.
- Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to implement process improvements.
- Proficient in SAP (3+ years’ experience).
- Knowledge of Reverse Operations.
- Ability to partner with internal and external vendors, manage cross-functional teams, lead large scale projects and handle multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.
- Works well independently and with team members. Excellent forward thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
