About the role
The person will hold responsibility for delivering Safety, Quality, Service and Cost excellence for assigned warehouse/warehouses operated by third party partner (3PL).
Key responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan, digitalize, and improve processes and systems to manage warehousing, transportation, operations, communication, and customer experience.
  • Drive partnership and establish governance, reporting, & regular cadence of communication with key stakeholders including Sales, Customer Care, Plants, Finance, ICT, Supply Planning, Transportation, Inventory teams and 3PLs to cultivate a culture of customer service excellence.
  • Manage warehouse space utilization, work schedules, cycle counts, inbound, outbound practices, resourcing and communication to drive efficient operations.
  • Implement Lean Principles at every possible opportunity.
  • Deliver KPIs related to Customer Service, 3PL performance, Transportation performance, Claims, Inventory Accuracy, Stock-at-risk and Cost targets.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety policies and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary legislative practices, procedures and industry codes.
    Project Management
  • Lead the execution of network strategy initiatives, new warehouse introduction, systems implementations and business process improvements.
  • Accountable to lead project integration ensuring all Safety, Quality, Service and Cost objectives are met.
  • Monitor progress of project milestones with all team members and provide status reports.
  • Manage project changes and ensure they are captured, documented and assessed.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Operations/Industrial Management, Engineering or Supply Chain or equivalent experience in warehouse operations role
  • Solid knowledge of warehouse, inventory and transportation
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
  • Able to work independently and cooperatively in fast paced environment.
  • SAP experience a plus
  • APICS certification is a plus.
