Position Summary:
Assist the Senior Supply Chain Manager in the day-to-day operation effectiveness of a retail division’s “supply chain” and distribution network. Drive results that achieve planned levels of costs and progress against operational effectiveness of key performance indicator (KPI). Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage total distribution and store operations, with an emphasis on vendor supply chain programs to provide lower cost of product
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPI’s) including cost management and store services
  • Execute all operational day- to- day activities
  • Provide guidance to distribution and suppliers in distribution and supply chain initiatives
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; completes performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • 3+ years Logistics experience
  • Ability to travel independently (less than 25%)
  • Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a team and ability to develop others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs
  • Level 9 – Oversee 3rd party facilities
  • Level 10 – Oversee Kroger facilities

Desired Previous Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years logistics experience
  • Strong leadership skills
